Getting back to nature is easy in this rural community nestled in timber country on the outskirts of Chelatchie Prairie. Lying in the shadow of Mount St. Helens, Amboy residents and guests had a spectacular view of the volcano's eruption on May 18, 1980, and the region's restoration over the last two decades. Mount St. Helens National Monument Headquarters is located in Amboy.
