Chelan

Best known for its warm sun and clear blue lake, Chelan lies where the Cascade Mountains meet the eastern Washington desert — on the southeast tip of glacier-fed Lake Chelan.  At one end of the lake sits the resort town of Chelan, where travelers come to enjoy the endless water and outdoor recreation and relax at the lake.  At the far end of the lake, where mountains soar in excess of 9,000 feet, is the remote village of Stehekin and the North Cascades National Park, accessible only by boat or float plane.

This quintessential small town has lured boaters, swimmers and sunbathers for generations.  Chelan offers boutique shopping and plentiful dining, plus a beautiful lake, burgeoning wine industry, golf courses and mountain-biking trails.  The lake is the center of activity, with visitors and locals stretching across its 50 miles for a plethora of activities: sightseeing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, tubing, paddle boating, cruising, windsurfing and sailing.
