Mineral

Between Washington's headline volcanoes - Mounts Rainier and St. Helens - the small mountain community of Mineral and its adjacent lake offer peaceful places to stay, picnic, fish and take in the breathtaking view of Mt. Rainier. Vintage steam railroad rides, pontoon boat rides and horseback riding are available out of Mineral and free roaming bison, mountain goats and caribou at Northwest Trek are minutes away. The lake is well known for its 10lb trout but hiking and camping are just as popular activities here.

The Mineral event center hosts world-renowned events, including an annual Christmas event on the lake where Santa arrives via a pontoon boat. Mineral has two phenomenal B&B's, a fishing resort and a 3-story 1906 log lodge which accommodates guests and is on the National Register for Historic Places. Mineral is known as the "Gem of the Northwest."
