Renton

Located on the south shore of Lake Washington, Renton offers spectacular views of the Olympic mountains, the Cascades and Mount Rainier. Music fans will appreciate the rich history of Renton, which is also known for being the resting place of one of music’s most iconic figures, Jimi Hendrix.  Other notable residents of Renton include Alice In Chains drummer Sean Kinney, Jamal Crawford of the NY Knicks, and Brandon Roy of the Portland Trail Blazers.

Visitors to Renton can experience a thriving arts community.  It's home to the county’s oldest theatrical performing arts organization - the Valley Community Players - which has three performing arts venues to celebrate local artists and community players.  Visual art is showcased at the Renton History Museum and the Carco Theatre, where work by local artists is prominently displayed.  And, if you visit during the summer months, be sure to experience the annual Renton’s River Days festival.
